Michael Storrings creates Art that Celebrates. Whether it be on ornaments, tableware, or paper—through color, energy, and emotion—Michael’s work captures that special essence of seasons and cities.
Michael is an award-winning artist, designer, and author with accolades from the American Institute of Graphic Artists, the Art Directors Club, the Society of Illustrators, Print Magazine, and the New York Book Show.
For the last seven years, Michael’s highly collectible city-themed Christmas tree ornaments from Landmark Creations are sold online and through select retail stores, including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Henri Bendel, and Saks Fifth Avenue. They have been featured in publications from Town & Country, Country Living to Celebrate 365, and talked about on The Today Show and Martha Stewart Living Radio.
Michael Storrings's first book of watercolors, A Very New York Christmas, was published in the fall of 2008 by St. Martin’s Press. Last Christmas, his book A Magical Night before Christmas was sold nationwide at Bloomingdale’s. His two books coming in the 2011 holiday season include The Three Gifts with Kathie Lee Gifford and a limited gift edition of The Twelve Days of Christmas in New York exclusive to Bergdorf Goodman.
Michael’s work is licensed on ornaments, tableware, apparel, greeting cards, tree skirts & stockings, and tins. Prints of his work and select original art are available online at www.storrings.com and at Bergdorf Goodman, New York.
Michael Storrings is currently a Creative Director at St. Martin’s Press (Macmillan), where he has designed book jackets for New York Times bestselling authors Mary Kay Andrews, Jackie Collins, Emily Giffin, Kristin Hannah, the Kardashians, Robert Ludlum, Tatiana de Rosnay, and Lisa Scottoline.
